Dr. Alexander's long career has seen many major accomplishments that speak to her determination towards enhancing the care provided in the field of Paediatric Cardiology.

Her drive has foreseen the establishment of Paediatric Cardiology as a clinical entity in Trinidad & Tobago. She has assisted with the introduction of Paediatric Open Heart Surgery and also the Paediatric Interventional Procedures, with the assistance of overseas colleagues and the Ministry of Health in Trinidad & Tobago.

As a member of the Paediatric Society of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Alexander has played a significant role in the planning of several paediatric conferences in the country.

These events brought together top local, regional and internationally recognised practitioners within the field, collectively sharing working knowledge to help further inform and educate the stakeholders within the sector.
